Barbara Dechario is a member of the Rochester (NY) Philharmonic
Orchestra and principal harpist with the Utica Symphony.
A frequent soloist with area orchestras and a member of Rhapsodie, a trio for flute, viola and harp, Ms. Dechario
has appeared throughout the United States, Mexico and Central
and South America in chamber music concerts. Recently she
was guest artist with the Catskill Chamber Players in a
performance of 20th century music at Carnegie Hall. Ms.
Dechario holds degrees in harp performance from the University
of Illinois and the University of Iowa. Her highly
acclaimed CD Timeless Jewish Songs features Cantor Martha Rock Birnbaum. Her most
recent CD is Christmas with Harp
and Voice.
